A tribute to the Black working‑class roots of American music. Boogie‑woogie emerged from Southern railroad towns, logging camps, and juke joints — a sound built from the rhythm of Black labor. Its rolling left‑hand patterns echoed train wheels and steel hammers, while the right hand carried improvisation, joy, and survival.
Pioneers like Pine Top Smith, Meade “Lux” Lewis, Albert Ammons, and Jimmy Yancey carried this music from barrelhouses to national stages, shaping early jazz, swing, rhythm and blues, and the beginnings of rock and roll.
This design honors that legacy — a wearable archive of Black musical innovation and the working‑class communities that created it.
